CBSE Announces Special Class 12 Exams for Seven West Asian Countries

Subjects and Exam Locations
The special examination will cover 40 subjects, comprising 20 academic and 20 skill-based subjects, including History, Political Science, Economics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Biology, Business Studies, English Core, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Banking, Insurance, Tourism, Healthcare, Marketing, and Food Production. The exams will take place in the respective countries where students were originally registered.
Registration Details and Rules
The registration window is open from September 22 to September 26, 2026, and CBSE has stated that this deadline will not be extended. No examination fee will be charged for these tests. To be eligible, regular and private candidates must have been registered for the 2026 Main Examination and had their results declared under the special assessment scheme. Students who were absent from papers for personal reasons during the original 2026 session, or who were not registered for the 2026 exams, are ineligible for this session. Furthermore, candidates cannot add new subjects or change subjects after submission.
Final Results and Background
CBSE has clarified that the marks obtained in these special examinations will be considered final and will replace the previous assessment-based results. There will be no option to choose between the two sets of marks. The board will issue a detailed date sheet following the completion of the registration process. This initiative follows legal proceedings in the Supreme Court, where students sought relief regarding the assessment scheme and examination options. Schools have been instructed to guide eligible students through the process, which is outlined in the board's September 15, 2026, notification.
