About Us

Arab Times UAE is a digital news publication covering the United Arab Emirates for the people who live and work there — expatriate workers, families, jobseekers and travellers, with a particular focus on the South Asian communities that make up much of the country's workforce.

We report on the rules that decide how people live: visas and residency, salaries and labour law, traffic fines, banking and remittances, air travel, and the Gulf and world events that reach into daily life in the Emirates.

How we work

Every article on Arab Times UAE is written or edited by a named human being and checked before it is published. We source rules and figures from the authority that issued them — the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), the GDRFA, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Central Bank of the UAE, the police forces of the individual emirates, and the official UAE government portal — rather than from other news reports alone.

Our full standards are set out in our Editorial Policy, Ethics Policy and Fact-Checking Policy. When we get something wrong, we say so on the article and log it under our Corrections Policy.

Funding and independence

Arab Times UAE is funded by advertising. Advertisers have no say in what we cover or how we cover it, and no advertiser sees an article before publication. See Ownership & Funding and our Advertising & Sponsorship Disclosure.
