This policy sets out how Arab Times UAE reports, edits and publishes. It applies to every article on this site, whoever wrote it.
We would rather be second and right than first and wrong. No article is published because a competitor has run it; it is published when we are satisfied it is accurate.
Rules, fees, deadlines, salary thresholds, fine amounts and eligibility criteria are checked against the authority that set them before publication. For UAE government matters that means the primary source — ICP, GDRFA, MoHRE, the Central Bank of the UAE, the relevant emirate's police or transport authority, the Federal Tax Authority, or the official u.ae portal. Where a figure comes from a company, we say which company said it.
News, analysis, opinion and sponsored content are distinct things and are labelled as such. A reader should never have to guess which one they are reading. Sponsored and affiliate content carries a visible disclosure at the top of the article — see our Advertising & Sponsorship Disclosure.
Every article carries the name of the person who wrote it. Editorial responsibility for the whole site rests with Lov Singh, Founder and Chief Editor, at hello@gulfhindi.com.
A headline must be supported by the article beneath it. We do not write headlines that promise information the article does not contain, and we do not use questions to imply claims we have not established.
News moves. When we add materially new information to a published article, we update it and note at the foot of the article what changed and when. When we correct an error, we follow the Corrections Policy — corrections are disclosed, never made silently.
Our position on AI tools is set out in full on the AI Usage Policy page. In short: no article is published on Arab Times UAE without a human journalist verifying its facts and taking responsibility for it.
We do not unpublish accurate journalism on request. Where an article is inaccurate we correct it; where publication creates a genuine and demonstrated risk to someone's safety, the Chief Editor may amend or remove it, and the decision is recorded.
No advertiser, sponsor, commercial partner or government body has any influence over our editorial decisions, and none sees an article before it is published.
