Visa Eligibility and Details
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has introduced a new single-entry job exploration visit visa. This initiative allows skilled professionals from countries including India and Pakistan to enter the United Arab Emirates without a sponsor or a prior job offer to search for employment for durations of 60, 90, or 120 days. These durations can be extended up to 180 days if required.
The visa is specifically available to professionals categorized under skill levels 1, 2, or 3, as well as recent graduates from the top 500 universities globally who have earned their degrees within the last two years. Applicants are required to hold at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
Application Process and Fees
To apply, candidates must utilize the ICP Smart Services or the GDRFA Dubai official portals. Necessary documentation includes a passport, a color photograph, and an attested degree. The fee for the 60-day visa is approximately AED 1,495, in addition to a refundable security deposit of AED 1,025.
This visa is strictly intended for job interviews and professional networking, not for employment itself. Once a job is secured, the employer is responsible for changing the applicant's status to employment residency. This update is particularly significant for Indian job seekers who can now conduct their search in person rather than relying on remote interviews.
