The Migrant Workers Office for Dubai and the Northern Emirates has announced that it will begin accepting debit and credit card payments for five essential services starting Monday, 14 September 2026. This initiative aims to streamline processes for Overseas Filipino Workers and their employers. The fee for individual contract verification remains unchanged at AED 40. While the office will continue to accept cash payments, card users may be subject to standard bank transaction charges and applicable VAT.
The services eligible for card payments include individual contract verification, employer accreditation and job-order processing, rehire processing, direct-hire processing, and Tadbeer hiring. Labor Attaché Atty. John Rio A. Bautista stated that the decision to introduce card payments follows repeated requests from OFWs, principals, and clients seeking more convenient payment options. The office has advised the public to avoid intermediaries and to conduct transactions only at the official cashier.
In addition to the new payment option, MWO services remain accessible through walk-in appointments at their Al Qusais location, the Online Employment Contract Verification System via dmw.dataflowgroup.com, and VFS Global contract-verification centers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The office operates Monday through Thursday from 07:30 to 15:30 and on Friday from 07:30 to 12:00.
