An IndiGo flight traveling from Lucknow to Dammam was forced to divert following a security concern.

- Cabin crew found a note written on paper or tissue inside the cabin containing the word Bomb.
- Pilots diverted the plane to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad.
- All 107 passengers and six crew members were safely deplaned and moved to Terminal 2.
The aircraft landed safely in Ahmedabad at approximately 5:43 to 5:45 p.m. Ahmedabad Police and Airport Police Inspector A D Chavda confirmed the safe evacuation of everyone on board. Local police, the Special Operations Group, the Central Industrial Security Force, and other security agencies conducted a thorough security inspection.
No suspicious items or explosives were discovered during the search. Extensive screening was carried out on passengers, cabin baggage, check-in luggage, and cargo.
This event is the second such occurrence in 10 days involving flights on the India-Saudi air corridor. On August 31, an Air India Express flight from Dammam to Delhi was also diverted to Ahmedabad after a bomb threat was found on a tissue paper in the lavatory, which turned out to be a hoax. Authorities noted the similarities but have not confirmed any direct link or wider conspiracy.
No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made. Investigations into the origin of the note are ongoing. There are no announcements regarding the suspension of flights between India and Saudi Arabia, and authorities advise passengers to rely solely on official airline updates.
