For residents currently abroad, the Ministry designated the Sahel government application as the primary official reference for residence permit and absence permit expiry dates. Expatriates are advised to consult with their employers, sponsors, or residency-affairs channels if their permitted absence period is nearing expiration. Essential verification steps for Indian nationals include checking passport validity—which must typically be at least six months from the date of entry—and confirming visa categories and permitted stay durations. Employment on a visit visa remains strictly prohibited under Kuwaiti law.
