The advisory covers the city of Makkah, along with Al-Qunfudhah, Rabigh, Khulais, Al-Lith, Bahrah, Adham, Bani Yazid, Jadhm, Maysan, and Yalamlam. The Taif Governorate is under a red alert from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., warning of severe winds, near-zero visibility, torrential runoff, and thunderstorms. Red alerts are also active for Al-Kamil and surrounding areas, requiring strict adherence to Civil Defense instructions.
Residents are advised by the NCM and Saudi Press Agency to stay clear of valleys, flood channels, waterlogging points, and low-lying roads.Yellow alerts for light rain and blowing dust have been issued for Jeddah, Rabigh, and Al-Khurmah. Meanwhile, orange alerts for moderate rain are in place for the Madinah region, specifically Al-Ais, Al-Mahd, and Badr. Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, and Madinah also face threats of thunderstorms, flash floods, and hail. Despite the storm risk, temperatures are forecasted to reach as high as 47°C, posing a dual threat of heat stress and severe weather for outdoor workers in construction, delivery, and logistics sectors.
Authorities have advised against unnecessary travel on the Makkah-Taif corridor and mountain routes. Workers and drivers are urged to confirm route statuses with supervisors, monitor navigation apps for traffic diversions, and avoid crossing flowing water. Outdoor laborers are cautioned to avoid metal scaffolding and open areas during lightning.
